The Newport Southbank Bridge Co. accepts community donations to provide security, trash removal, lighting, maintenance, and upkeep on the Purple People Bridge that links Newport, Ky. with downtown Cincinnati.

Those who donate $10 or more to the fund will get a certificate of ownership, a commemorative pin, and become a member of the Purple People Bridge Maintenance Fund.

The Purple People Bridge does not have any public source of funding and our campaigns and donations help to ensure that the bridge continues to stay in shape for the half a million people who use it each year.

The Purple People Bridge is a 123-year-old span that reopened as a pedestrian bridge in 2003. Millions of people have used the bridge since then. It is the largest pedestrian bridge in the United States linking two states.

If you would like to make a donation to support the bridge and help with our efforts to keep the bridge open and clean, please contact the Newport Southbank Bridge Co. or donate online.
