The Newport Southbank Bridge Co. is a nonprofit organization and accepts donations for the upkeep of the bridge, including security, trash removal, lighting, maintenance, and painting the Purple People Bridge that links Newport to downtown Cincinnati.

Those who donate $10 or more to the fund will get a certificate of ownership, a commemorative pin, and become a member of the Purple People Bridge Maintenance Fund.

The Purple People Bridge, a 123-year-old span that reopened as a pedestrian bridge in 2003, receives no public funds to maintain the structure. Private donations help to ensure that the bridge continues to stay in shape for the more than 500,000 people who use it each year.

If you would like to make a donation to support the bridge and help with our efforts to keep the bridge open and clean, please contact the Newport Southbank Bridge Co. or donate securely online by using a credit card or Paypal account.
